G.E.A.R.s For Success

Juarez Academy of Engineering & Technology

Where all students are empowered to realize their full potential.

Welcome to Juarez Academy! Trust me when I say, you definitely made the right choice!

Juarez Academy is more than just a school.  We are home to a beautifully diverse community of learners. Our staff is comprised of highly qualified teachers, para educators, student supervision assistants, mental and medical health specialists, secretaries, custodians, librarian, nutrition service workers...all working together with one purpose in mind: to help your child be successful.

As an engineering and technology academy, we understand the value and importance of 21st Century skills. As early as now, we envision our students—Juarez students—navigating middle school, high school, college, and eventually entering a world of professions requiring the use of technologies that don't yet exist today. We want Juarez students to feel empowered to meet this future; to go out and make a positive impact on the world.

At Juarez Academy we have a dynamic team of educators committed to a whole-child approach to learning.  Our Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) addresses the academic, behavior, and social-emotional learning needs of all students.  We work diligently to ensure that students have access to a variety of academic opportunities during the school day, as well as through the Juarez After School Academy.  Every student has different needs and it's our job to figure out what those needs are and how to support them.

Over the years our signature GEARs, have come to symbolize many things at Juarez Academy. Just as GEARs must work together with precision to transmit motion or power, so too, must our community at Juarez Academy! We invite you to be an active part of that collaboration because we know that working together, home and school, we can and will help our students maximize their potential.  More importantly, our GEARs represent traits and characteristics that we strive to help students develop: a Growth-mindset that views failure as a springboard for growth, Empathy for others and the world around them, the Ambition to aim high and achieve their goals, and the Resilience to bounce forward during challenging times.

Again, Juarez Academy is more than just a school. We're a community. A family. We believe that all students have the capacity to learn and be successful. And we believe that all truly does mean ALL

Whoever our students are, wherever they come from, whatever skills or challenges they bring with them, we are wholly and fully committed to helping them be and do their best.

I look forward to another year filled with collaboration and innovation.

Let's keep those G.E.A.R.s turning!
